Happy New Year! As Seea waves goodbye to 2013, we have been reflecting on all the milestones that brought us to today. Whether you are new fan of Seea or you discovered us at the beginning, dive into the best moments of last year and relive the summer thrills. Thank you to all of the loyal fans that have supported us this year and cheers to 2014 being even better!

January: “Ritratti di Surf | Girls, Girls, Girls” a film by Onde Nostre beautifully captured the adventures of Seea designer Amanda Chinchelli, artist Natalia Resmini and stylist Betta Dal Bello in Sardenga, Italy.

April: Seea was beyond excited to be featured in the Vogue Guide “100 under $100” and Glamour magazine’s Ultimate Swimsuit issue.

June: For our latest Seea x Thalia Exclusive collaboration, we made a short video, “Made in the USA” to share the behind-the-scenes creation with you. From concept to the factory to the surf, we hope it inspires others to follow their dreams.

September: Seea presented the Women’s Logger Open at the MSA Classic Invitational with Bing Surfboards. Congrats to winner Jen Smith and Seeababe Lola Mignot for making it to the finals!

October: For the #MySeeaLife Instagram contest, you impressed us with all your different personalities and opening up your vacation albums to us. See all the best entries and get ready for the next one soon!

December: New website launches and 2014 collection arrives. Seea was pleased to finally unveil to you a brand new website design and the 2014 collection filmed and photographed in Mexico and featuring Mele Saili, Jenayl Peters, Luki O’Keefe, Lola Mignot and Lucy Mejia. We were blessed with magical perfect swell during the trip.

Those of you who check in regular probably already know that Seea founder Amanda Chinchelli hails from Florence, Italy. What you probably don't know, however, is that the Seea Lady herself also has Italian roots!

Created by master illustrator Simone Massoni, the Seea Lady exemplifies Simone's comic, cartoon-like style, and his penchant for distressed, colorful prints. Originally a creator of children's books, it's easy to see the magic in Simone's whimsical images and storybook design.

With the manifesto "Original, push the visual", Simone has explored illustration, photography, art, graphic design, and music for a large list of international clients. Intent on "defending and spreading passion" for everything visually stimulating, Simone has created an impressive body of work, including recent projects for Nokia, Guess Kids, & Wired Magazine.

Instrumental in creating a visual voice for our brand identity, we are forever grateful to Simone for bringing the Seea Lady to life, and we look forward to seeing whatever comes next!!

Moral of the story: Don't be afraid to look Simone up, if you every need to "Sketch This Out"!
