The Riviera One Piece is the quintessential vintage bathing suit with a modern cut and the upgrades of today’s best four way stretch fabrics. The wider shoulder straps give extra chest support, while the hourglass panels on the front and back slim your waistline and play up your curves. Sensual, yet fully covered up, the Riviera is modern vintage at it's best.

The Leucadia Bikini Top features a one-inch thick elastic band under the bust that lays flat and doesn't budge while adding good support. The thicker spaghetti straps relieve tension from the neck through a cross tie back that stays on while duck-diving. A feminine alternative to board shorts, the Leucadia skirted bottom’s color-blocking detail is a genius at visually nipping the waistline smaller. The back is also seamless, which means your derrière will be wedgie-free.

More than any other suits in our line, these new arrivals combine graceful vintage silhouettes with modern surfing functionality. They are flattering, fun to wear, and are the true reason SEEA was born. You don't need to look great to enjoy the surf, but if you feel comfortable in what you're wearing, you'll enjoy it that much more.

Connie at the Del Mar station is pretty rad - her husband surfs and works at the station across town. |
I remember sitting in the shop after seeing the line, sort of in a daze, trying to wrap my head around what I had just seen... "Who is this girl?", I thought. "What is she doing??" I loved Amanda's designs, but simply put - I had never seen anything like SEEA before!
Since that day, Amanda and Summer have become good friends, and we've developed a great relationship with JP and the crew at Surfy Surfy. We are supremely stoked to introduce the Seea x Surfy Surfy collab project, and we are honored to be the only women's swimwear brand carried at the hub of Leucadia's surf culture!
Just a few days past our first anniversary, we couldn't dream up a better start! A heartfelt thanks goes out to Summer and JP for their support, and to Julian Mascuilli for creating these two video shorts!
Seea x Summer x Surfy Surfy = Love at first sight!

Pretty simple concept: Cut the colored "gels" to fit the lamp panels, tack em' down & light it up! |
The fiberglass panels were cut to fit, and slid easily into place. |
The final product got lots of likes on Instagram. We like it, too!! |
We've shown you blog lovers lots of DIY projects so far this Summer, but this one is by far our favorite! Designed by request for Mitch's Surf Shop in Solana Beach, you'll be hard pressed to find a more creative use of 28" of wall space anywhere else in town!

Dedicated to surfing and the culture of those who love it, we are particularly fond of Nalu magazine, and were humbled by the interview, and the attention afforded to our young brand. Seea would also like to thank the editors of Blue and Honey for making such wonderful, high quality magazines, and for doing so much to bring the joy of surfing to the women of Japan.
If you are in Japan this month, you can win a pair of Seea suits, courtesy of BLUE magazine! |
Seea was also featured in the premiere issue of Honey - a new magazine dedicated to fashion and beach lifestyle! |

Nalu is another awesome Japanese magazine, dedicated to the stories of surfing tastemakers across the globe. |

Double full page spreads - A nice way to introduce Seea to Japan! Thanks Nalu!! |
Considering that some of the original ideas behind Seea were actually inspired by a visit to the museum itself, (See our previous post on Julie Cox and the Woman on Waves exhibit), things really start to make sense. It's a great feel-good story, and a tribute to the importance of the CSM, and it's ability to inspire others to look at their history and create something fresh and new.
We love Julie, but then again - who doesn't? We are thankful and humbled by her support! |
Our busy handyman whipped out another custom display - this old house siding gets a new life! |
And away it goes! |
Vintage suits from Seea, a nice Ukulele & some postcards. What else do you need to remember your visit to Oceanside? |
The Museum's own Todd Quinn showed up early and lent a hand with the installation. Thanks Todd! |
With an eye on the past, Seea pulls from our history as women surfers, and seeks to create beautiful, fun suits - A modern expression of the classic joy of surfing, tailor made for the women of today. We are excited to announce Seea's arrival at the museum, and are filled with stoke as Seea comes full circle: From inspiration to presentation, truly we have Julie and the CSM to thank!!
]]>Last month we were lucky enough to receive a visit from star fashion photographer Jana Cruder. Sent by the fashion editors at Orange Coast Magazine, Jana stopped by Seea HQ to snap a few shots of Amanda. Seeababes Meredith & Heather were on hand as well, so laughs were guaranteed and we all had a great time!
Jana is a pretty awesome photographer, and we really enjoyed working with her this time around. The product shots were amazing, and she captured some great images of the girls in the suits.
The girls, looking good. |
